The drive to the northern facility took about four hours through beautiful winding mountain roads. Mark sat in the passenger seat of the van beside Helen, watching Luna sleep peacefully in her transport carrier. The small fox seemed to know somehow that something wonderful was happening. Her body was completely relaxed and content.
