When Daniel realised his shovel hit something hard in the ground, he immediately stopped his digging and knelt down. To his surprise, his hands tightened not around a boulder or a piece of scrap metal but around a delicate, rusted wristwatch. Its surface was all mudded, and its glass cover was cracked.
