Luis hesitated, then slowly reached one arm toward his backpack. Mike noticed immediately and hissed under his breath, “What are you doing?” Fear flashed across his face, thinking Luis might panic.
Luis kept his eyes forward. He whispered that he wanted a sample of the goo near his shoe.
