Daniel tried his best to push the worried thoughts out of his head and just relax for the evening. He made himself a simple dinner of pasta and sat down on the couch with Buster curled up beside him. The old dog seemed peaceful enough, and slowly Daniel’s tense shoulders started to loosen.
