Carter hesitated for a moment, then slowly pulled at the zipper. The sound of it ripping open seemed to echo off the walls.
Paul clenched his fists, every muscle in his body screaming at him to brace for something bad. As Carter pulled the duffle open, the contents spilled into view—and all three of them gasped out loud instantly.
