Luke squinted at the animal, and then his breath caught in his throat. Tangled in the fur along the bobcat’s back were several twisted wires.
They were the broken remnants of a wired cage, still hooked into its coat. Long strands of it dragged behind the animal, catching on the fallen leaves.
