Elsa raised her binoculars and scanned the ice ahead desperately. The large floe was cracked and broken, with dark water churning through the gaps, forming deep glaciers in the icy rock formation. At first, she saw nothing but ice and shadow. But then she caught a flash of movement near the center of the floe.
