Daniel opened the notebook and told Rachel to listen closely. The first pages explained that Henry had built the underground tunnel because the land on which he lived in the 19th century was dangerous.
It was filled with outlaws riding through at night, breaking into houses of local settlers, plundering, and attacking everyone who lived there.
