Moving cautiously, Eddie hooked a pole beneath a corner and lifted. Cold ocean water gushed out, but for a moment, they glimpsed what lay below. It was a mound of tangled netting, plastic drums, and something pale, mottled, and oddly organic. Sam sucked in a breath. “That’s not just trash,” he whispered.
